Rabindranath Tagor (1861-1941) was a Bengali poet, philosopher, artist, playwright, Composer and Novelist. India’s first Nobel laureate. Tagor won the 1913 Nobel Prize for Literature.

Rabindranath Tagor has created a web songs, music and dance via his dance dramas Like Shyama, Chitrangada, Chandalika, Shapmochan etc

Shapmochan, it is a story of the realisation of true love through separation, suffering and sorrow.

This dance drama is performed by Foundation for Indian Performing Arts (FIPA)
